Objective of the training school:
Understand the basic principles of phylogenetics and population genetics necessary to conceive and develop such studies.
Learn from examples of phylogeographic and population genetic studies on vectors and vector-borne pathogens
Understand the implications of such studies for the disease and vector control
Give background and practical experience on several Population genetics and Phylogenetic tools: PHYML, MEGA, HYPHY, SPLITSTREE, GENEPOP, FSTAT, MICROCHECKER, ARLEQUIN, STRUCTURE, GENETIX
